Awesome. I had the Ruben sandwich with a side of potato cakes. Plenty of food, tasted great, and the service was top notch. I was just driving through the area and needed a quick bite to eat. The lady told me they would have my food ready in 10 minutes. I couldn't believe it when they actually had it ready in 10 minutes. Don't forget to get the scone of the day! Amazing... nice and soft on the inside, but had a nice crunch on the outside. Everything was fresh and delicious. The atmosphere was exactly what I would expect for a cozy breakfast place. I'll be coming back with my family (all the way from Tampa) the next time we head south for a day at the beach.

4.5 stars, rounded up. First time eating here. Seated promptly and provided a menu. A good array of options available for a reasonable price. I opted for a skillet because it seems (with their name) that’s what their speciality is! The re were options for the side, but I opted for the in house scone (which was great)! My husband got the potato pancakes, which he also enjoyed. Service was great throughout. The atmosphere was lovely - we sat outside as the day was beautiful! Lots of seats with space between tables. Would visit again.

11-23-24. Took my Dad for his first dining experience at this restaurant. He loves breakfast. Though Colleen our waitress was not in a hurry at all, we got out before the sun set. I went with 2 scrambled eggs with under cooked English muffin sausage links and hash browns. Dad went with the Tex Mex with hash browns and a chocolate chip scone. We both enjoyed. I would recommend

I would like to say that I’ve noticed a positive change at this location in the last month. It seems there has been a change in personnel, I believe there may be a new chef in the kitchen. The food has been substantially better. The last visit, the food was all perfectly cooked. The eggs were not dry or overdone, and the skillet potatoes were perfectly done. I just wanted to leave some great feedback for this store as I see the hard work everyone is doing to improve. The manager Deb and all of the wait staff is very personable and always makes it a pleasant visit. We bring our two children there all the time. We have a baby girl and a seven year old with autism. We are regulars who eat at Skillets every Sunday, sometimes a couple extra times during the week. We know the entire staff by name and they know us as well. They help make our dining experience good even having the kids with us - every parent knows how valuable this is. This is a family restaurant if there ever was one. I love this location and I love the food even more now that they’ve changed things in the kitchen. It’s the people who really make the experience. Happy customer!

This place is amazing!!! The only thing negative I have to say is that I wish I would have come sooner. If you’re looking for a spot to eat outside, the patio is perfect! It is completely shaded and plenty of seating. The food is all made from scratch and absolutely delicious. I am usually a French toast breakfast person but I am so happy I strayed and tried the breakfast skillet. The potatoes they use for the bottom of the skillet are mixed with cream cheese and other things that make it perfect! I also had a gluten free pancake and couldn’t even tell that it was GF! Prices are also reasonable! The menu is also huge and you will be able to please everyone! My husband loved it all too! He said perfectly made and it was flawless 10/10.

This was our first visit to Skillets in Venice, and we had a pleasant experience overall. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and very clean, which made for a nice atmosphere. The staff was friendly and attentive, which we really appreciated. As for the food, it was decent but not exceptional. The coffee tasted more like a store-bought tab brand and was a bit watered down. I had the biscuits and gravy, and unfortunately, I could taste the flour in the roux—it just was not my favorite. The food overall could have used a little more seasoning, but with salt and pepper on the table, that was easy to adjust. The eggs, though, were cooked to absolute perfection—both my scrambled eggs and my husband’s over-easy eggs were spot-on. That was definitely the highlight of the meal. It was an okay experience—good service, beautiful space, and a few hits and misses on the food.
